Former relay town, marked by the presence of water features and a source at the crossroads of very ancient Celtic and Gallo-Roman origins. It has many vestiges of early occupation. A Merovingian cemetery where many monolithic stone burials are superimposed west of the parish enclosure. A church whose Romanesque tower at the crossing of the transept was replaced in the nineteenth century by a porch bell tower at the entrance to the nave. It has a 14th century choir tympanum and a 15th century side chapel.
