At the heart of Gramat Causse and the gateway to the Dordogne valley, Rocamadour, hanging on the cliff overlooking the bright Alzou canyon, is a real balancing act. Rocamadour AOC: The AOC is a cheese Rocamadour "pure goat" made exclusively from whole raw milk, produced, processed and refined on the Appellation area in respect of tradition. It is creamy, smooth and melting, revealing a goat smell, cream or butter to more pronounced with similar tastes. The wines: The Amadour red (wine country of the Lot) is a pleasant wine to drink. Composed of 60% Merlot and 40% Malbec, his nose has great intensity and aromas of black fruit, cherry and spice. It is of great magnitude on the palate with fine tannins. It can be kept 3 to 4 years. To combine with salad Quercy, Quercy lamb or Rocamadour. The Amadour rosé (vin de pays du Lot), composed of Gamay, Malbec and Merlot, with aromas of white fruit (pear, pineapple), acacia flowers and red fruit (cherry, raspberry), also attracted mouth by its breadth and freshness. Its quality was recognized at the Concours General Agricole in Paris in 2009 where the 2008 vintage was awarded the Gold Medal Wine Country Rose Lot.

Foie gras: Close to Rocamadour, a farm 10 000 students each year Mallard ducks for foie gras production and other regional specialties in the traditional farmer and to the delight of gourmets.

The walnut cake: The cake is a Rocamadour nut ​​pastry, specialty areas of Quercy and Perigord. The nut (AOC since 2002 Périgord walnuts), is the essential ingredient of this cake.
