Small village of the Gard divided into two parts, Robiac-Rochessadoule takes place seventy kilometers from Nîmes and its bullring, on the banks of the Montagne de la Rédaresse and the river Cèze. It is located near Peyremale, Bordezac, Gagnières and Saint-Paul-le-Jeune.
Populated since the Gallo-Roman era, the town of Robiac was then nicknamed the villa of Robiaca and served as a farm to a rich Roman. More recently, the village of Rochessadoule is a mining town built in the nineteenth century, the beginning of coal mining. It saw its last wells close in the 1950s and 1960s. Today together, the two cities of southern France attract visitors for their authentic charm, as well as for their architectural heritage of interest.
