The village opens you the doors of the famous Gorges de la Méouge, a beautiful valley that is the joy of swimmers and hikers of all kinds: on foot, by bike, by mountain bike, and even by Quadbike... you can try everything!

A superb "city stadium", a large park full of games, awaits young and old in the village!

To discover, at the entrance of the gorges, the climbing site of Beaume Rousse welcomes climbers on a cliff well exposed. Further on, the road invites you to reach the highest point of the commune, at the summit of the Espranons (1352 m) on the Montagne de Chabre, a high place of free flight, which will seduce you with its breathtaking panorama. An orientation table and picnic tables await you there.

Below the road, along the Meouge you will discover a magnificent Roman bridge with three arches, classified Historic Monument, it allowed access to an old mill that remains only the ruins, it was carried away during a flood of The Méouge in 1901.

Numerous hiking trails will allow you to discover a remarkable natural heritage, the site is classified "biological reserve Natura 2000".

Many species are found here, in a micro climate both alpine and mediterranean: here oaks and beeches rub shoulders with ashy broom and fragrant lavender attract butterflies sometimes emblematic of the place as the Damier de la succise.

Perched on the rock above the bridge, the village of Pomet is today attached to the territory of Chateauneuf de Chabre, only two dwellings remain, one in the church!
