Built in the late 17th century by Gaudry, Condorcet's maternal family, the home of the philosopher home experience a succession of private owners. Hennique Léon (1850-1935) writer, executor of Goncourt Brothers and first president of the famous Academy dwell there. The house, owned by the city of Ribemont since 1989, presents the life and work of Condorcet. Two rooms depicting the life of famous men born Ribemont: Nicolas Blondel (1618-1686) royal architect, and General Saint-Hilaire (1761-1809), buried in the Pantheon.
