Located in the heart of the historic center of Rennes, the Blossac mansion is an 18th century classical building listed as a historic monument. Constituting an incredible architectural complex, it houses since the early 1980s the Directorate of Cultural Affairs Regional.
Built in 1728 in place of the hotel de Brie destroyed by the great fire of Rennes of 1720, the Blossac hotel is then owned by the family of La Bourdonnaye. The building has undergone many renovations throughout the 20th century. The exteriors are open all year round and the interior is proposed to visit during the European Heritage Days.
