Inaugurated at the end of the 19th century, the Villeneuve racecourse takes place at Rambouillet, in the Yvelines. It is one of the 17 racecourses of the Fédération des Courses d'Île-de-France et de Normandie.
Close to a forest, the 40-hectare site hosts nine meetings of seven harnessed and mounted trotting races each year. The Villeneuve racecourse has an 1800m grass race with a left-hand rope as well as a catering service. Free entertainment such as pony rides or pedal sulky are offered for children on race days.
