Carentoir is a village of Morbihan in Brittany, the borders of Ille-et-Vilaine and bordering La Gacilly.
It was established in January 1, 2017 with the new common status of 3300 inhabitants, following the merger of Carentoir, which it has kept the name (2750 inhabitants) and Quelneuc (550 inhabitants).

Heritage of ancient manors and parishes, the heritage of two former villages now gathered justifies a discovery journey that can begin with the village church of Carentoir, dedicated to St. Marcoul. The building dates from 1888 and replaced two churches: one erected in the ninth century, the second Romanesque twelfth, having been damaged during the Wars of Religion.
