Town Tarn, Puylaurens lies at the edge of the Black Mountain, overlooking the plain of Lauragais. The small town is located about fifty kilometers from Toulouse and twenty-five kilometers from Castres, two major tourist cities in the region.
Very old, the town was crossed over the centuries by the Celts, Romans, Visigoths or Saracens, who made this barren hill, a city worthy of the name. Former flagship of Cockaigne in the Middle Ages, this ancient fortress city was notably its reputation she cultivated pastel and blue dyes that offered throughout Europe.
