Located in the department of Mayenne, Pré-en-Pail-Saint-Samson is a new town that has been meeting since January 1, 2016 the village of Pré-en-Pail and the village of Saint-Samson. These two former French communes, which make more than today, enjoy an exceptional natural environment. Nestled at the foot of the forest and Mount Multonne Avaloirs, Pré-en-Pail-Saint-Samson is in the heart of Regional Natural Park Normandie-Maine.
Meadows and forests dotted with marshes stretch out of sight around the town. Pré-en-Pail-Saint-Samson named this bedecked landscape where "pre" means meadow and "pail" means swamp. The history of Saint-Samson, whose historic and religious heritage is partly classified as an historic monument, a sulfurous stench since it refers to the presence of the Templars repeatedly about the town.
