Pouilly-lès-Feurs, located a mile and a half north of Feurs, backs onto the lower slopes of the mountains Morning.

Formerly "Poliacus", the Latin word meaning marsh, and which changed over the centuries has become Pouilly, Pouilly-lès-Feurs in Forez, ancient walled city once stood one of the most beautiful places in the history of this province "The Drill" . Today, visiting ancient monuments (priory, Romanesque church, ramparts, narrow streets, city gate ...) is very interesting and highly recommended.

Things to see and do

Romanesque church, built between the 11th and 12th century listed building in 1911.

Cluniac priory, built using the same layout as the Abbey of Cluny, around a central courtyard with a deep well Gallo-Roman 17 m. The Benedictines have lived, one thousand to 1715. It has large rooms with fireplaces. Today it hosts exhibitions during the summer.

Pavilion Pravieux, Renaissance. Has beautiful frescoes of various inspirations (libertine, mythological ...).

Events and festivities

Every Friday the "p'tit market" from 15h to 18h30.

The first weekend in July: Feast.

European Heritage Days in September: guided tours of the village and buildings (church, priory Pravieux pavilion).

The third Sunday in November: On "seeds Pouillerots" (channels 5 to 25 km).
