Poses is a beautiful small village on the Seine originally built by ancient mariners. This village has the distinction of being all in length and allows visitors a walk of several kilometers on the old towpath. This walk will enchant you with its landscape, the water is calm because it is retained by the dam downstream and boats pass behind the wild islands to pass through the locks. Natural shorelines and water lilies give the Seine qualities of a river. The distant outlook with views of the hills offer the immensity of the river. The spectacular dam is extended by the locks on the right bank. On the left bank, Poses side a fishway allows visitors to watch the fish up the Seine.
