The Hippodrome des Pins is located in the town of Port-Bail-sur-Mer, in the Manche department, a few kilometers south-east of Barneville-Carteret.
It is precisely located on the edge of the harbor of Portbail, an estuary covering 250 hectares at the mouth of the course of the Olonde.
In this verdant and typical coastal setting, the racecourse has a 2400 m long grass track with rope on the right.
The Portbail racing society organizes an annual meeting there, generally on the 2nd Sunday of August. The races are only dedicated to trotting, the two most famous events being the price of the city of Port-Bail and the price of Grouville.
The tradition is that many of the races are reserved for women.
Activities are offered to young audiences. Admission: 5 euros.
