Located in the municipality of Port-Vendres, in the Pyrenees-Orientales, the Cape Béar lighthouse takes place on the coast Vermeille.
Originally built in 1836, it is replaced by the current building at the beginning of the 20th century. Listed today in the Historical Monuments, it is nearly twenty-seven meters high and has a pyramidal stone tower, with the guardians' dwelling below, with blue opaline walls and a pink marble staircase.
It is now automated.
