The Sainte-Maxence church dedicated to the patron of the Picardy city, was built in the sixteenth century in the place of a medieval building. Listed building, it has a transition between the flamboyant and Renaissance styles. If the building plan fully meets the Gothic ideals, several decorative elements, such as clams topped with Saint-Jacques shells, already reveal a different architectural era.
Also classified as an historic monument, the church of Saint-Lucien Sarron was built in the late eleventh century, it is one of the oldest in the department. Small Romanesque building, it was once the site of an important pilgrimage.
The last listed site to Pont-Sainte-Maxence of Historical Monuments is the Neolithic site of the Oise valley in which we found particularly collective burials of this time.
Today private residence, the Chateau de la Villette was built in the early twentieth century, on the remains of an old building.
