Pont de Roide - Vermondans, capital of the canton, is located at the confluence of the Doubs, Ranceuse and Roide rivers. In the heart of the Pays du Lomont, 17 km from Montbéliard, it rests on the high cliffs of the Rocks to the east and opens onto the plain to the north.
The town hall and its park, a mansion bequeathed by the Peugeot family to the town, give the town a special character. Everyone, in this green setting, will find something to satisfy their most diverse tastes. For athletes: canoeing, climbing, hiking, mountain biking... For others, fishing, swimming or cultural visits. Beyond the outdoor activities, you will find in this city, organized by about sixty associations, the most diverse proposals (football, tennis, billiards, dance...). Two major annual events punctuate local life: Art in May (early May) and Rudy West (the first weekend in June).
