Ponet-et-Saint-Auban is 4 km northwest of Die. It extends from both sides of the Drôme following the merger of two municipalities. It is bordered by the foothills of Diois culminating in Goal Richaude (1039 m) for Ponet and Purpose of Aiglette (1006 m) to Saint-Auban.
The village of Ponet is away from the axis of movement that represents the CD 93 and is in a cul-de-sac. It has not been too affected by urbanization in its near Die because of its lack of water and the desire to preserve agricultural and wine business. Making it a pretty village character.
Producers are oriented village "organic": Clairette, aromatic plants, brewery.
