Things to see and do

Listed as a historic monument, the Saint-Aignan church dominates the village since the beginning of the 16th century, taking the place of an old building of the 12th century. She is the perfect example of the transition from Flamboyant Gothic to the early Renaissance, including buttresses and flying buttresses. Inside, we can admire stained glass windows. The church is rich in works of art of all kinds, including statues of St. Martha, St. Roch, or St. Quentin, a pulpit to preach the early eighteenth century, or a set of five paintings on wood representing scenes from the Passion of Christ and dating back to the sixteenth century.

While strolling in the commune, you will be able to discover a dovecote of the XVIIe century located beside the town hall and partially registered with the Historical Monuments.

At the source Saint-Potentien, you will not miss the fountain of devotion of Saint-Potentien. The nearby chapel, now in ruins, was the site of an important pilgrimage, water from the spring having the reputation of healing the bones. The fountain is now classified as an historic monument.

You will also be able to see several crossroads of the XVIIe century classified with the Historical Monuments.

The Saint-Père wood, rich in walking trails, is ideal for discovering the local flora and fauna and soaking up the beauty of the region.

Several mills take place on the town, that of Liberty, Jaquillat and Banal, as well as old houses with typical architecture of the region.
