Pocé-sur-Cisse

The Cisse is a river which takes its source in the forest of Marchenoir in Blois, parallel to the Loire. This river crosses the municipalities of Loir-et-Cher, then in Indre-et-Loire, such as Pocé-sur-Cisse and Vouvray where it flows into the Loire. The other stream crossing the village of Pocé is the Remberge or Ramberge, which has its source in Autrèche (37) and which crosses Saint-Ouen-les-Vignes before flowing into the Cisse at Pocé. La Remberge operated in the past an art foundry established in the park of the castle of Pocé dating from the 15th century, whose architecture was modified until the 19th century.

The listed castle park, open to the public, enchants with its trees with rare species and the deviation of the Ramberge which flows in a cascade.

In addition, the Loire bathes the south of the town, opposite Amboise. From the heights of Pocé, one can observe a panorama of Amboise and the Loire Valley. Pocé is within the perimeter of UNESCO World Heritage which covers part of the Loire Valley and Amboise.

• Castles and Gardens: The influence of the Loire Valley is largely due to its castles. Whether they are Gothic, strong, Italian, French Renaissance or classic times, the châteaux of the Loire are marvels of art and history. Go back in time between their walls, marvel in their gardens.

• Amboise: "The family home of kings". One of those which the Valois in the 15th and 16th centuries liked to make their usual stay. Leonardo da Vinci's burial place. Breathtaking view of the Loire.
• Le Clos Lucé: In the footsteps of Leonardo da Vinci who lived in this house for the last three years of his life. In this mansion, a museum is dedicated to him, presenting models of his inventions.
• Château Gaillard: The most Italian of the Loire Valley châteaux. A finely furnished palazzotto with scents of orange trees. Here, in fact, the first orange trees in France were planted.
• The pagoda of Chanteloup: Unusual listed monument from the 18th century. True Chinese madness in a 14 hectare park, Fu Xi garden, old wooden games and boats.
