Beautiful fored tower of eleven meters high, the Genoese tower of Isolella takes place in Corse-du-Sud, in the municipality of Pietrosella. The building was built in the early seventeenth century on the peninsula of Isolella and overlooks beautiful coves and the entire Gulf of Ajaccio.
Narrower at the base than most Genoese towers of the time, the Isolella tower takes place just a few hundred meters from the beach. Renovated in 1970, it is an opportunity to enjoy the surrounding wilderness and enjoy the view.
At the foot of the eminence which carries the tower, you will be able to discover a rosary of rocks in the water of the Mediterranean. These inspired the legend of the Seven Vessels speaking of enemy ships petrified on the spot by the Virgin herself.
