Winter sports resort in the Pyrenees, Piau-Engaly takes place in the town of Aragnouet in the Hautes-Pyrénées. Considered the highest resort in the French Pyrenees, at 1860 meters above sea level, it is located not far from Tramezaïgues and Vignec, on the border with Spain.

The town of Aragnouet which hosts the station also offers an interesting religious architectural heritage with in particular the Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption-du-Plan chapel. Listed as a Historic Monument, it was erected in the 12th century and also has a bell tower restored in the 19th century.
