These places evoke the history of coal in Lorraine between the 18th and early 21th century, the lives of children, social policy and the mining business of the day and the bottom companies.
Nearly 160 everyday objects, machines, models, films, stories and photographs highlight the particular world coal miners in Lorraine. Visitors follow the path of the minor before lowering it into different rooms preserved in their original state, understanding the places being provided by audio terminals. The entire course is translated into German and English. The museum has been awarded the "Musée de France".
