Located at Perrusson, in the Indre-et-Loire, the former priory of Saint-Genest today benefits from an inscription in the Historic Monuments for the remains of its chapel. Built in the 11th century, then transformed in the 15th century, it now only reveals the walls of the polygonal apse of its chapel.
The latter, whose construction probably dates back to the 9th century, as evidenced by the base of the walls in small stone apparatus, also reveals an upper part from the 15th century. Not far from the chapel of the priory of Saint-Genest, it is also possible to admire a 16th century coping well elegantly decorated with pilasters and mascarons.
