Religious building located in the heart of the town of Pernes-les-Fontaines, in the Vaucluse, the Notre-Dame-de-Nazareth church is a magnificent example of Provençal Romanesque architecture. Important priory in the 13th century, the site was founded by Charlemagne himself, who would have liked to thank the Virgin for her victory against the Saracens.
Revised many times over the centuries, the site seduces with its imposing appearance, and in particular its fortified bell tower. Its magnificent architecture and its beautiful chapels with traces of old paintings made it one of the first buildings classified as Historical Monuments in the middle of the 19th century.
