Also called Hôtel de Vitry, the hotel Charron takes place on the island Saint-Louis, in the 4th district of Paris. Located at 13-15 quai de Bourbon, it was built in the first half of the seventeenth century by architect Sebastien Bruand for Jean Charron, then steward of Finance.
After hosting the workshop of sculptor Yvonne Serruys at the beginning of the 20th century, it also served as housing for the writer Pierre Mille and the famous volcanologist, Haroun Tazieff. This private property not accessible to the public is now listed in the Historical Monuments.
