Monument in Paris

The mansion Charlemagne is located on Place des Victoires, in the 1st district of Paris, precisely number 1.

The building was built during the last quarter of the seventeenth century, as part of the development of the square initiated by Marshal Feuillade with the objective of paying tribute to the victories of King Louis XIV. His town planning was entrusted to Jules-Hardoin Mansart.

In the center of the square stands an equestrian statue of the ruler.

The Charlemagne Hotel has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1967 for its facade and roof.

Private property, it can not be visited, but can mark a walk in this historic district of the capital. A didactic panel is located at the corner of the square and the street of Aboukir. Information on +33 1 49 52 42 63.
