Botanical garden located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne, the garden of Serres d'Auteuil was refitted for the public in the late nineteenth century and decorated with large turquoise blue cast iron greenhouses.
Partly listed as an historic monument, it allows you to admire a Jules Dalou fountain and masks by the great master of sculpture, Auguste Rodin. The garden of Serres d'Auteuil is now organized around a large French-style parterre and five main greenhouses.
It houses collections of rare plants and remarkable trees with more than 6,000 plant species such as Canary Island palms, begonias, ferns and Ginkgo Biloba. Several different spaces have been developed such as the Japanese garden, the contemporary garden or the Mediterranean garden.
The site is the scene of many events such as temporary exhibitions on the theme of botany and a festival of classical music organized each year.
