Installed rue Mouffetard, in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, the Saint-Médard church was built between the 15th and 18th centuries. Mainly flamboyant Gothic, it reveals a plan reflecting three homogeneous sets of the mid-fifteenth century, the late sixteenth and eighteenth century.
Inside, it is possible to admire the wooden vault of the choir, unique element in the capital. The various carved capitals show the architectural evolutions of the building, with Gothic, Renaissance and classical styles.
Many works of art take place in the building, including a Walk of St. Joseph and the Child Jesus Francisco de Zurbaran, a St. Genevieve by Charles-Dominique-Joseph Eisen or the Marriage of the Virgin Mary Alexandre-François Caminade.
