Friendly village, bears his name Parçay-Meslay resonances of the past: "Parçay" is actually derived from the Latin Partiacus designating an agricultural colony in the Gallo-Roman "Meslay" from the Latin meaning Mespillium medlar wood. It was only in 1841 that these two entities belonging to the abbey of Marmoutier were involved.
