Pannes

Three rivers (the Bezonde, Solin and Limetin) cross the territory of Pannes and the Orleans canal: many walks of goals for walkers or cyclists who may use the towpaths and little corners of paradise fisherman.

For those who prefer woodlands, woods Gatinaise are also soothing stroll goals.

In terms of historical heritage, this time, visitors can appreciate the Saint-Pierre-es-Liens church, whose foundations date back to the twelfth century. If the tapered boom and low arch gate of the building deserve attention, we can also address the crypt.

However, this is a structure in civil engineering which is now the most remarkable: the Pannes viaduct allowing the highway to cross the canal of Orleans and Bezonde. Built in 1999, its originality is to be an example of arch bridge "bowstring" which has only one arc. 86 meters long, it was ranked in 2000 "most beautiful work of metal construction in France." It can be admired from the banks of the canal.

Locals and tourists can have fun every second weekend of July, when the village festival: program, fun activities, shows, fireworks (Saturday night) and a garage (on Sunday).

In another genre, the first weekend in November, it's fair to the plants; thousands of visitors to the area are waiting for you to admire or buy shrubs, plants and flowers presented by numerous exhibitors. Crafts and local food products are also honored.

Every Sunday from 8 am to 12 am, finally, a market is held in the city center that allows again to discover the products of the region's terroir.
