Located between Villers-Cotterêts and La Ferté-Milon, Oigny is landlocked in a clearing in the forest of Retz.
The cereal plains of two farms organize a halo around the village; the third farm, fruit producer welcomes you every day for a sale on the spot.
The village has been classified since 2002 as a protection zone for the architectural and landscape heritage.
The village grew around its castle and church; the lordship of Oigny is known since 1169; from the feudal castle remodeled in the sixteenth century, there remains the gatehouse entrance that opens on the square, part of the walls and ditches.
