Noyers-sur-Jabron

Considered one of the tallest churches in Haute-Provence with its thirty-two meters high, the church of Our Lady of Bethlehem is now the subject of a classification as historical building. Located in the old town, it reveals dishes inspired foothills of early Romanesque art and a beautiful slate roof. Built in the thirteenth century and restored in the second half of the twentieth, she worked alongside other remains to discover during a walk in the ancient city of Noyers-sur-Jabron as the remains of the castle of the city or the old houses.

Built in the second half of the nineteenth century, the present church is in the form of a single nave of three bays with barrel vaults. You can see an Alpine-style bell quartz Saint-Maime.

As you wander the village, do not forget to admire the castle Périvoye seventeenth century, the castle of Great Bastie known for its staircase decorated with plasterwork or the ruins of the Saint-Bevons built in the nineteenth century.

Several marked hiking trails accessible by foot, horseback or mountain bike is also present to visitors, as fishing points and circuits of cycling.

• The weekly market is held every Wednesday in the late afternoon.
• A carnival parade is proposed in March.
• The local festival is held at the end of August with festive meals, concerts and other entertainment for all audiences.
