Located in the Dordogne department, the castle of Nontron is an 18th and 19th century building listed as a Historic Monument. Became property of the city in the early 1980s, the site hosts the arts and crafts center, including a very beautiful collection of old knives.
As the castle of Nontron is closed during the restoration work, the exhibition rooms are currently closed but the programming of the Pôle Expérimental des Métiers d'Art remains rich.
The Boutique des Métiers d'Art, located at 5 rue Carnot in Nontron, is open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
A program has been designed, focusing on the public, partnership and off-site actions while continuing the missions and carrying out actions to promote and raise awareness of artistic professions.
