The village, which included a small castle and church, belonged to the La Chassagne, but they sold it to the Viscounts of Turenne in the 13th century. Thus the parish became part of the castle-Collonges, a member of the vicomte de Turenne.
On the request of the viscount's family Astorg kept village. Then by marriage, he was transferred to Noailles. In 1738, thanks to the dismantling of the vicomte de Turenne, the Noailles family bought Noailhac and attached it to the Duchy of Noailles.
