Crossed by the Marne-Rhine Canal, the town of Niderviller is located in Lorraine, in the Moselle department, and part of the township of Sarrebourg, and the community of communes of the Bièvre Valley.
Its inhabitants are called Nidervillois and Nidervilloises.
A Niderviller, earth, water, air and fire are always present: the earth in the form of clay and sandstone... - water sources and streams that feed the mills... and the channel - clean air that will give birth to the "open-air sanatorium," the Saint-Camille sanatorium at the chateau des Carrières - and fire, thanks to the many forests, in a region where the afforestation rate is significantly higher than the average of the Moselle. These four elements are the source of all village industries: tile, careers, and the arts of fire in the form of earthenware and porcelain... A Niderviller, all self-evident!
