Built in the second half of the 17th century on the remains of a first 17th century building, the Sainte-Croix chapel is the work of the White Penitents. Designed by the architect Antoine Spinelli, it reveals to its visitors a 19th century baroque facade, with a pediment decorated with the pelican, symbol of Charity.
Inside, the Sainte-Croix chapel of Nice presents an original decoration based on devotion to the Holy Cross and on floral motifs visible in garlands or vases on the pillars, walls and other vaults.
Accessible for visits on Tuesdays at the end of the afternoon, it is now classified as a Historic Monument.
