Neuville-sur-Saône is a commune of the Rhône, region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, 15 km north of Lyon.

Although modest in terms of area (5 km²), its present territory of the characteristics that explain the history and prosperity of the city. It has indeed developed on the left bank of the Saône is the limit "west", while a steep terrain announces the plateau of Dombes east.

Things to see and do

In terms of heritage, several sites of interest can stake a discovery tour of the city.

A signal to start the old castle of Vimy (original name of the city), mentioned in the twelfth century. Destroyed in the XV, it was partly rebuilt and renovated two towers are even in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. On May 1, communal feast with fun activities and music.

In late June the town hosts concerts in the Pianissimes festival in the Val de Saône.

In late September, Japanism festival dedicated to Japanese culture and manga.

In November, Neuville hosts shows in the Saône festival scene that covers the entire region.

Every Friday, the market on the waterfront is a great opportunity to discover the gourmet terroir of the region!
