Commune of the Vienne, in New-Aquitaine region, Neuville-de-Poitou takes place in the heart of the vineyards of Haut-Poitou, just twenty kilometers from Poitiers and its famous Futuroscope.
Throughout its history, the city has long suffered from its position, especially during the Hundred Years War. Under English control from 1360, it develops during this period a great craft and agricultural activity, with the cultivation of almond trees, walnut trees, but also vineyards. It remains known for its grape varieties of Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Cabernet or Gamay.
