The Petit Port racecourse, at Nantes, was inaugurated in 1875. The site covers an area of 35 hectares and has several dedicated tracks including galloping (2065 m grassy course) and trotting (1411 m covered with sand).
The racecourse is equipped with stands for up to 5000 spectators and a panoramic restaurant from which you can watch the tracks.
Each month, several meetings are scheduled on the racecourse in Nantes, most of which give rise to national bets. The prestigious Grand National du Trot stages here in November.
With facilities "upscale", the site also hosts events outside the world of horse racing (puppy show in September, jazz concerts in December, business seminars...).
