Located in a tourist area in southern Alsace (Sundgau), the museum Firefighter Alsatian houses a collection with material dating from 1648 to 1969, in two buildings on 2300m². Hand pumps, steam pumps, vehicles, ladders, pumps, sidecars... but also beautiful pieces of individual equipment : fire suits dating back to the nineteenth century, helmets (French and foreign) are exposed. The switchboard of the former barracks Mulhouse, dating from the early twentieth century, is reconstructed identically. Many other historical objects related to firefighters are to discover...
Classified Museum of France, the museum has a heritage of over 260 vehicles. In the future, it will change the current collection.
