The Romanesque church Saint-Maximin (XII-XIII century) was sacked by the Protestants in the seventeenth century and restored at the same time. The exterior of the church is of impressive size but is very sober. The west front was consolidated by huge buttresses. It is pierced by a gate arch with three arches.
From the chapel of Saint-Mande, located in the field, there remains only the Romanesque choir vaulted cul-de-oven and receiving the day five arched windows. It is the remains of a priory close Fontevraud Abbey.
The Romanesque church of Our Lady of Chasseignes (thirteenth and fourteenth centuries) was part of an old priory which depended on the abbey of Bourgueil: the building dates from the twelfth century and has been altered over the centuries.
Castle Fuye - sixteenth century - (private site) is built on stilts, it fits into a beautiful park, supplied with water from a source. Dovecotes, corner turrets with pepper, tower roofing spin expressed by their appearance the architectural tradition of the Renaissance.

Secrets de Pays : le Château de la Fuye

In partnership with the owner, Mr. Jacques Lallemand - We have known all the owners of La Fuye since the 15th century. - Prior to 1559, la Fuye was designated as a "house and stronghold", as confirmed by its position and the surrounding canals. The château was remodeled and rebuilt by the de Leignes family at the expense of the Chasseignes priory and its materials. - The Langlois family also made improvements in the late 16th century, followed by the Ledoux and de Bussy families in the early 18th century. Following the emigration of François Louis de Bussy, the property was sold as national property, and the Baillou de la Brosse family took charge of the exteriors, canals, etc. See the fine atlas of Baillou properties, drawn up in 1806 and in the possession of the current owners, Mr. and Mrs. Lallemand. - By reservation only
