Small village of Dordogne, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, Mouleydier takes place about fifty kilometers from Périgueux, in Bergerac. It is located not far from Bergerac, just a few kilometers from Creysse, Saint-Capraise-de-Lalinde or Liorac-sur-Louyre.
Cited as early as the 12th century, this commune in Purple Périgord however has a much older occupation, as evidenced by the prehistoric and Gallo-Roman remains found there. That which was besieged by Bertrand du Guesclin in the course of the fourteenth century was subsequently illustrated in the nineteenth with the development of a fish farming activity. Decorated with the Croix de Guerre 1939-1945 after having been completely looted and burnt down by the Germans during the Second World War, it still presents today a lot of charm thanks to its exceptional landscapes and its architectural heritage which is not lacking of no interest.
