Housed in a mansion of the nineteenth century in the heart of Montpellier the Sabatier Espeyran museum hosts collections of Decorative Arts department of the Musée Fabre of the city.
In a unique setting that has retained all its original features, it is possible to discover faithfully reconstructed decors rooms with furniture, ceramics or beautiful pieces of jewelry. All collections of the Museum Sabatier Espeyran are mainly from the legacies of Cabrières Renée and her husband Frédéric Sabatier Espeyran made in the 1960s.
Labeled House of Illustrious, the site presents the first floor and the original apartments of Count Charles Despous Paul and second floor of reconstructed sets of furniture and objets d'art from the eighteenth century. Computers open access, catalogs or movies are available to visitors to better understand the history of places and his works.
