Former outbuilding of the diocese of Chartres, Montmirail is a charming little village in the department of Sarthe. It takes place not far from Saint-Calais, on the heights of a mountain that gave it its name. It stretches near the Orne, Eure-et-Loir and Loir-et-Cher, inspired by the story of these three departments.
Quite old, the common Montmirail reveals a heritage that spans several eras, from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, and alongside much more modern parts. Labeled small town character due to its tourist attraction and different monuments to discover, this Sarthe village is a must in the region.
The annual events organized regularly or the peaceful and pleasant atmosphere of the city, also make the success of the place.
