Common new Jura region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Montlainsia takes place about forty kilometers from Lons-le-Saunier, close to Val Suran, Dramelay and Val d'Epy. She was born on 1 January 2017 from the merger of Dessia, Lains and Montagna-le-Templier.
Mainly agricultural and turned to farming, the territory of Montlainsia has developed over the centuries in a calm and peaceful atmosphere, taking little by little the face it has today. The visitors passing through the region appreciate the authenticity of its landscapes and the charm of the typical architecture of the region.
