Small market town of Ille-et-Vilaine in Brittany, Mont-Dol is located on the bay of Mont Saint Michel, at seventy kilometers from Rennes. It is located not far from Saint-Benoît-des-Ondes, Dol-de-Bretagne or Lillemer.
Frequented since the Paleolithic, as evidenced by the remains and skeletons of animals found there, the territory of Mont-Dol develops later through the exploitation of granite quarries. The Breton town has shaped over the centuries the true face it has today, preserving its traditions while opening to modernity.
Today Mont-Dol continues to attract visitors wishing to enjoy a natural setting and charming during their journey to the land of Brittany or Normandy neighbor. Its architectural and historical heritage also await the lovers of old stones and history.
