Listed as an historic monument, the Saint-Roch chapel of Mons, in the Hérault, originally depended on a medieval castle from the 12th century which has now disappeared. Located in the hamlet of La Voulte, this fine example of Languedoc Romanesque art underwent transformations in the 17th century before being abandoned.
Disused, the Saint-Roch chapel of Mons takes the form of a four-bay nave covered with a broken barrel vault, with an apse and a side chapel. The set is completed by a bell tower with two arches.
