The Castle of Moncontour is a monument in the municipality of Moncontour (Vienne, New-Aquitaine). It is an attraction for holidaymakers staying in the region.

Location of famous battle in 1569 between Protestants to Catholics in the royal army. This dungeon of the 11th century, built by Fulk Nerra, served as an outpost at Mirabeau and protect the citadel of Loudun. The view is breathtaking from a height of 25 meters!
