Bourg de la Somme, in the Hauts-de-France region, Moislains takes place not far from Péronne, about seventy kilometers from Amiens and its famous cathedral. Traversed by the Tortilla and the Canal du Nord, it is close to Rancourt and Cléry-sur-Somme.
Already present in the seventh century, the village of Moislains was then the property of the Abbey Saint-Vaast Arras. After obtaining his communal charter at the beginning of the 12th century, he was given a castle in the 14th century. Theater of an important battle against the English and the Spaniards in 1557, it is occupied by the Prussians during the war of 1870. Until the Second World War, in 1945, Moislains was also an important site of tissue weaving in sponge.
Full of charm, the town continues to attract visitors with its heritage and its proximity to beautiful sites in the region.
