The common Millery is located along the Moselle between Nancy and Pont-a-Mousson, 5 km from Custines. The village was built near a Roman villa which operated the surrounding land and its production flowed by the river Moselle. Then the Knights Templar has been given the land by the Counts of Millery Bar, they kept to the suppression of the Order. Earth Millery was then given to the Chapter of the Cathedral of Metz. They became lords. The village then experienced a strong development of its vineyard and its wine trade in the second half of the 19th century with the establishment of the railway and the bridge over the Moselle.
